Whistler’s Answers: January 12, 1984

Another year, another year of questions and answers!

In the 1980s the Whistler Question began posing a question to three to six people and publishing their responses under “Whistler’s Answers” (not to be confused with the Whistler Answer).  Each week, we’ll be sharing one question and the answers given back in 1984.  Please note, all names/answers/occupations/neighbourhoods represent information given to the Question at the time of publishing and do not necessarily reflect the person today.

Some context for this week’s question: This one seems pretty self explanatory, so we think we’ll leave it there.

Question: Are you suffering from post-Christmas blahs?

Don Wallace – L’Apres Food Manger – Brio

For me, it’s just relief after the busy Christmas rush. What I am trying to do now is to keep staff in the restaurant from getting down. Even though I don’t ski, I wish the skiing were better for everyone.

Tami Edwards – Student – Vancouver

No. I wanted to get Christmas over with this year because I had very little money.

David Sereda – Lift Operator – Alpine Meadows

No, this has been one of my best Christmases. But we’re suffering from a lack of powder on the mountain and my digestive system is not doing too well after all the Tequila I had at Christmas.
